Gracie's 5th Birthday Party

Last year for Gracie's birthday I was going to go all out! But I was not feeling up to par being pregnant and everything so I vowed that her 5th birthday would be AWESOME! :) So I made 40 cupcakes, practiced a Ferris wheel cake(for the circus theme), called my cousin Tyson for a magic show, rented bounce houses, and got her gifts! She talked about for weeks! Is it my circus party yet? Then I prepared everything the night before, I am a super perfectionist and didn't want to stress out the whole day. At 2:00 a.m. I heard crying, so I ran to her room and she was throwing up! Not just then but on the hour after! She cried, "mom call my friends and tell them to cancel the party, I don't feel very good." That settled it I knew this was not a 24 hour quick flu so I gave as many cupcakes away as possible and was forced to eat the rest! :) We rescheduled and this was the best party ever! She ran all night long and so did her cousins! Such a blast! Will I do this every year...no way! But every few will definitely be worth the money! We love Gracie so much! She has got and endless amount of energy and such a spunky personality which is a curse sometimes! I love watching her run around and play hence the bounce house and slide! She had the best day ever!

Halloween

Halloween was so fun this year! Gracie was Hannah Montana again(her choice) and Taylor was Piglet! Gracie loved it! She RAN from house to house. I felt like I got a pretty great jog in by the end of all of it! My cousin Josh got to open his mission call, so we trick or treated in my aunts neighborhood. He is going to Taiwan and we are so excited for him! We also got to trick or treat with my sister's little boy! Gracie and him are more like brother and sister than cousins! We LUV it! He wants to do everything she does and kept up pretty good with her! Taylor was the cutest Piglet ever! :) It was the perfect costume! She felt a little cooped up but it's time she know pain is beauty! We also went to the Fisher's Halloween party which was awesome as always! Next year Meliss....my costume will knock you dead! :) Here are some pics!

I honestly believe that time has sped up with a second child! It goes faster! Taylor is already 5 months old...and I'm about to celebrate my "baby" Gracie's 5th birthday! Can she really be 5? She will always be my "baby"! Not that I love Taylor less...in fact there is more of her to love! But it was just Spence, Gracie, and me for so long that we got to experience college life/newly wed life with her! I know it will change as Taylor gets bigger, but for now I am in total shock that she will be FIVE! Nobody makes Taylor laugh like Gracie! When she comes in the room Taylor lights up! She can't wait to do everything that Gracie does! Taylor is doing the classic rolling over (both ways) which is quite the accomplishment for her SIZE. She doesn't cry...she screams. Sometimes I can't tell if it is happy, mad, sad, or both. She is also a FABULOUS sleeper! I was terrified of both of them sleeping in the same room, and it has been FINE! It's almost as if they sleep better together. Spence is finishing his rotations and is half way done! He will be done in March! Yay! We will also be celebrating in the Caribbean! So excited! Melissa...you know ya wanna come! I am attempting to lose baby weight and work with Gracie on Pre-school, and stay as busy as possible! Here are few pics of the last little while.

Gracie Dance Recital

Between Taylor being born and all of the summer craziness I did not post Gracie's end of the year dance pics! I was way stressing having a tiny and doing dance hair and make up and it all turned out great! Surprise Surprise like it always does when I stress about little things like that! :) I did not get a picture of the finale though :( Gracie had a little solo part where she got on a guys shoulders and made funny faces (It was a circus theme). She did so good...Funny faces are right up her alley! Before the finale at the recital she said to the boy, " Hey! You better not forget to come get me and put me on your shoulders!" Ha Ha! So says the four year old! She had lots of fun this year in her dance group and made lots of friends!

Now that I am slightly more sane I thought I would post about how it has been since a second child since I have had a "baby in 4.5 years!
Biggest Differences:
Traded in my purse for a diaper bag
Less Sleep
Diapers
Child sleeping in my bed( I will regret it when I try to put her in her crib but I just can't have her wake up Gracie who is used to only the sound of her fan as she sleeps. Taylor tends to grunt!)
My life now revolves around Taylor's feeding schedule
Love that she will just sleep on my chest
Love the little smiles and sounds she makes then looks around like who just made those sounds.
Gracie has actually been easier since the baby. It's like she has decided that now that there is a baby she needs to be a big helper! Not that she doesn't occasionally want me to hold her like a baby or has requested we bathe with her now...that was fun to explain to her why I can bathe the baby but not her! :)

Things have been great especially since the weather is better! Will there be a third....still not quite sure on that one! :) Here are Some newborn pictures I had taken!

Taylor Kate Adams

Taylor was born on May 12, 2010 at 3:23 p.m. She was 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 20.5 inches long. I went in on Tuesday night at 11:00 p.m. They started me on the "pit". I am not proud, so I requested drugs so that I could sleep through labor. It was like hanging on to a merry go round! I was able to get through that a lot easier than contractions though! :) They broke my water at around 11:00 a.m. and then I had her at 3:23 p.m. I pushed for about 40 min. which was a "breeze"(not easy...I will never figure out how to really push :)haha) compared to 3 hours with Gracie! I also went with the epidural, but this time it only numbed my right side! It was kind of nice being able to feel the contractions a little bit so I knew when to push. The right side was SO HEAVY though! I was sure that if my right leg fell off the bed it would take me with it! The hospital also brought it's "A" game for food this time! I don't want to touch meat after having a baby... I was so excited when there was fruit...or maybe because I hadn't eaten for almost 24 hours! Poor Spence got to sleep on the most awful chairs! The doctor said I could stay another night, and I thought Spence's back won't last another night! :) I am sure everyone wants to know how Gracie is doing! She is adjusting really well considering she is used to our world revolving around her! I think she just gets cabin fever. We are used to doing something all of the time...and right now I am a little sore for activities! She loves to hold her and wishes she would be awake more often! Even though Spence wanted a boy he was one proud dad when she was born! He also loves to hold her! You forget what it is like to snuggle a newborn! She is a pretty good sleeper at night as well. I can get 4-6 hours out of her! I will take it! Well here are some pics of our new baby girl!

Spring Break Las Vegas

We decided to take our spring break in Las Vegas! Not your ideal "kid" destination, but fun! I pretty sure that Gracie picked up a few moves from the casino girls... Gracie did awesome on the drive! We stayed at Mandalay Bay and it was fabulous! We also went to Lion King! Gracie loved it! Here are some pics!

New Baby Adams

We just had a 3-D ultrasound done today! I absolutely love having ultrasounds done! They give a face to the alien inside! :) Gracie gets exciting talking about them, but when it actually comes she could care less. Probably the exact way she will respond to her new little sister. They confirmed that yes for sure it is a sister! As if there was any doubt in the first place, but we double checked. The pictures weren't fabulous, and neither were Gracie's, but I won't lie to ya I think the person doing the ultrasound could care less! :) I had a different one do this baby's first ultrasound and it was an entirely different experience! Stupid me I should have requested! Lady I know that the ultrasound is expensive, and just for fun, but really if I am going to shell out $80 then she should feel some responsibility to get wonderful pictures! :) We are so excited for the new baby to come she seems to have some similarities to Gracie, but I can tell she is going to have a slightly different look. We will see!

Gracie's going to be a Big SISTER!!

Where have I been since July? Well The toilet and I have become great friends! :) I have been sicker this pregnancy than I ever was with Gracie and I have had the lack of energy/motivation to blog! I still love to check other blogs, but have neglected mine! :) We will be adding another little girl to our family on May 17, 2010! Hopefully I will just pick up Spence from his last final and head to the hospital! :) Gracie has insisted that this baby was a girl from the beginning. By insisting I mean yelling at anyone who might refer to the fetus as a boy. Spence and I even had a special talk with her prior to the ultrasound in hopes that she wouldn't lash out the ultrasound technician. Everyone, including myself was convinced that this baby was a boy, but Gracie knew all along! :) I can't lie Spence was a little disappointed because he thought he was going to balance the house out with a little testosterone and possibly be done having children....not this time hunny! :) He is warming up to the idea of having 3 women in his life! :) Coming from a family of 6 boys even 2 women were an adjustment! :)We are so excited for Gracie to have a sister! I'm already looking at stores for matcher outfits! :) I don't need hardly anything, but who can resist matching outfits! Christmas has been the perfect time to share our news with everyone! We are so thankful for our family/friends and our new addition! :) Merry Christmas everyone!

4th of July and our New Poolo

The fourth was a blast! We had a Volleyball tournament which I'm still burnt we lost! I'm not a very good loser! It was really all Spence and my 60 year old uncle's fault. Next time they bring their A game or they go home! :) My sister brought my adorable nephew down and we took a dip in our new poolo! I saw poolo because that is what Gracie calls it! We have been swimmin every day! It wears her out which I love!

Gracie's First Dance Recital

Also a post put off! :) We put Gracie in dance in March and in June she had her first recital! At first I was convinced my mom had pressured me into putting her in early! Ha! Ha! I was thinkin am I seriously paying money for her to run around the room and stare at herself in the mirror (We promote high self-esteem in our family :) But she did so good at the recital! She was doing the dance so good and then the floor began to shine...The previous dance had left some jewels behind! She did what any clean kid would she picked it up. When she tried to give it to her teacher, the teacher rudely ignored her! :) She then shrugged her shoulders, threw it up in the air and went back to dancing! It was hilarious! It was totally worth it! She had tons of fun and made lots of friends! I'm not gonna lie though it was rough putting mascara on a three year old! What the heck! Well here are the pics of our little ballerina! :)

California....Better Late than Never!!!

We had the funnest Vacation Ever.... about a month ago! :) We were headed to California...but due to my dad being an idiot...We also detoured to Mexico where a man was convinced that we needed two seagull statues! I make you good deal he said! How bout you make us a great deal and we not buy them at all! My bro in law was convinced that we all had swine flu! :) We hit up Seaworld, Disneyland, and Universal Studios! Don't expect to see any pics from Universal though cuz good old Brent got our camera stolen! Ha! Ha! It was a trip full of surprises for sure! The beach was great! I had Spence sold on movin to California after graduation! It was also Gracie's first airplane trip! She loved it, but the infant on the way home did not! He screamed bloody murder for an hour and a half! MISERABLE! The best part was the character breakfast by far! Gracie loved meeting all of the princesses! She would say Cinderelli is comin to see me mom! Most expensive breakfast EVER! If you have more than 1 kid it will break you! Here are some of the pics!

Jake's Wedding!

It seemed like it was forever down the road and then BAM it was time for Jake's wedding! Crazy how time flies! We went to Bountiful this weekend for my brother Jake's wedding and it was a blast! It was so good to see family that we haven't seen in years! Riley's family really put on one heck of a wedding! Funny it makes you think I would have done this different for my wedding... Am I resentful to my mother for being too cheap to buy me a dj...yes...yes I am! :) He was great! Gracie was the flower girl...she is really getting that down to an art! :) She did GREAT! I was nervous, but she pulled through. The groomsman did a little Village people dance....dad you had the best moves evah! Ha!Ha! Really though guys my dad's seventies moves stole the show...did he look like moron? Yes...Yes he did! :) But the best moron out there! :) The girls shook their bodies to Gloria Estefan and did the one the only....Conga! Riley had her fitness on! She did the Conga all over the house! I was a little winded to be honest! :) But...my Aunt Denise was beyond winded..haha...like border line heart attack! :) I thought Gracie would die out but she danced the WHOLE night! A good 2 hours! I think that she was jealous that the ring bearer asked her mom to dance...but Gracie you were a little forward and I think you freaked him out when you kept tryin to smooch him! :) Me and My sister kept the party goin with the Boot Scoot and Pam's favorite the Cha Cha Slide! This wedding was what weddings should be...A GIANT party! We are all so excited to have Riley in the Carlson Family and look forward to having the open house FINISHED! :) Here are a few pics of the wedding!

Park City Here We Come!!

I have been a frequent Utah traveler lately! My brother Jake is getting married so we are headed to the bridal shower...which also means to the Park City Outlets! Anyone who has been shopping with My mom, my sister, or I knows that we mean business when we shop! It's like a full time job in a way....8a.m. to 5 p.m. but sometimes we don't stop for lunch! Ha! Ha! Hence the reason we leave our hubbies home...minus my metrosexual husband Spence who does enjoy shopping(love him for that)! Sorry you are in a doctorate program hun.... and have to work/study, and have to miss out on all of our fun...maybe I will bring you back a hat....maybe! I will try and post some pics of our overindulgence at the outlet malls! Nicole and Arnie...be ready for us cuz we aren't stopping! Nicole I will open the door, and you and Areyan jump in off the highway! You can strap her car seat on the way! I think Utah allows for them not to be in a car seat as long as you are working on strapping it in! :) Times a-wastin! :)

Dreary Winter

I was lost from the blogging world! Actually I check everyone else's daily...just don't update my own! :) We had a great Christmas! Thanks again for Rock band Mom! :) Gracie now runs around the house singing "So what I am a rockstar...I got my rock moves! :) You wanna play the rockband mom!? :) Every February-March I get SO SICK OF FREAKIN WINTER! :) Why do I live in Idaho...just born here I guess! I LOVE SUNSHINE/HEAT! :) But I was impulsive and we have planned a Disneyland trip with the parents! :) YAH! :) Now if May could only come now! :) Gracie is going to LOVE it! On a different note the big BDAY is comin up! 25! I am officially going to be part of the "older married" people group! :) Age doesn't bother me I just need Spence to make a HUGE deal of my bday!:) So we are going to leave the tot with my mom and head to IF! :) Love Pam! I know I have said this in previous posts...but guys I have the BEST MOM EVAH! :) Ha! Ha! I can always count on her to come in when in a bind! Well I promise to be better about blog posting! I have lost 15 lbs!!!

Everybody...hate to bring this up, but despite the holidays I have had complete self control and I am now down to the size I was when I got married! How you ask? What's my secret? How can you also do this in a mere 9 days? A little thing called a tonsillectomy! I had my tonsils out a little over a week ago and have not been able to eat a thing! Ice is my best friend only second to my best friend hydrocodone! :) I wish I was healing faster but have had to miss out on shopping after Thanksgiving and oh yeah Thanksgiving dinner! Oh well it is a means to an end! I am getting family pictures before I gain all my weight back though so you guys can see my smokin hot bod! :) Ha! Ha! Really though that is the only positive thing about this whole experience! I lose weight daily! I also have been going to the Sonic daily for ice! Sometimes multiple times! Their workers probably think what a freak and have commented to me havent you been here before today? Yes I have now shut up and give me some ice and nobody will get hurt! Spence despite my fears has been a great helper! Seriously not that he's not worn out, but dare I say took care of me better than my mom! It has taken him 4 years but he may be gettin the hang of things! :)

Happy Halloween/Gracie B-day

Gracie is 3!
Hey everyone! I just wanted to show off some cute pics my mom took on Halloween and on Gracie's B-day! So crazy that it has been 3 years! The pregnancy is a little blurry to the memory minus the fact I remember being HUGE! First I got sick and was told to gain weight...so I did...then not to gain weight! Freakin make up your mind Doc! :) I don't like to do things half way...Except clean my house! :) She loved her birthday! Every toy was so exciting! I can't wait for Christmas! Her favorite toy...her biko(for some reason with bike and pink she adds an o) Biko and Pinko! :) She also kept asking my mom to take her picture..not the norm..pictures are horrid...that is why i haven't done one in two years! Three has meant more tantrums, but she also is developing personality and it is hilarious! She seriously tells Spence what to do....and he does it! He had a laundry basket over his head for like an hour on Sunday...if he tried to take it off she would yell "Daddy you get in your cage right now!" Sorry Spence if you are going to let her boss you...you deserve it! :)

Halloween
Trick or treatin was a blast! Gracie got to go with her 2nd cousin Arnie(Areyan..sorry Nicole it's just so dang cute when she calls her that :))...she later informed me that I was no longer her best friend! I have been replaced :( Then we went to the Fisher house only to realize I was way under dressed! You guys seriously go all out with the costumes...and I am gonna come up with somethin sweet for next year! :) It will take me a year to plan! :) Gracie was also burned by the curling iron and bit by a dog! Last year my dad ran over her foot with a 4-wheeler! Halloween is not her holiday! :) There is also a sweet picture of my nephew Braxton as a Monster!

Gracie's Flower Girl Dress

It has been awhile...not cuz I don't have anything to post, but because there is so much that I can't decide how to condense it! :) One of my bestest friends literally since kindergarten :) has asked Gracie to be the flower girl at their wedding in November! She is going to be so stinkin cute! After much searching for a pink and black flower girl dress that does not exist in the fall....his bride to be Carly decided on this one! She asked me to pick out the dress but I just wasn't going to make it that easy for her! :) Seriously lets talk about pressure folks! I mean Spence thinks he's got it rough with 4 hours of sleep a night and 2 tests a week! This is serious one wrong dress and the entire wedding color scheme could be totally ruined! Im a little bit of a drama queen with stuff! :) Really though after a few emails and many texts here is the final product! What do ya think guys?

We had a Baby itza Boy!!

Ok so not me! But like the commercial ya know! :) Ha! Ha! My sister had her baby on Thursday September 25, 2008. They named him Braxton Brent Lewis. He was 1 month early so he was TINY! :) He weighed 5 lbs 1 oz. and was 18 inches long! Mom and baby are doing GREAT! It was a crazy week! I got strep throat! Yuck! Was pretty much banned from the baby! :( Practically shunned! :) JK My mom and Spence's mom are the greatest! They are the type that don't make me ask for help (probably cuz they know I won't)! They both took Gracie overnight so that I could barf and be sick for 3 days. They are angels! Spence also did an impeccable job at taking care of me this time! Not the norm! :) We had her shower on Saturday(she wasn't even able to make it) :(! Whatev she still needed stuff so the show must go on right? So now we are back to normal whatever that means! :) Here are also some pics I stole from Ange of Gracie, Mccoy, and Grant at the fair! I am a total picture mooch! :) It is so fun to see Gracie play with the kids of the girls I grew up with! We know they will be just as close of friends as we are! Aah how cute! :)

Hi everyone! I haven't dropped off the blogging world I just like to read all of yours! :) With Spence in the swing of school again comes juggling the child! I am not that good at it and my mom pretty much watches her! So all of you that do this all of the time...you have my sincere sympathy! I know it is harder on me than Gracie...but lets face it...its all about me right!? :) I am a worry freak! Thus my marriage to Spence is such a blessing because he is soooooooo chill! My sister got Toxemia and the baby will be coming quite a bit sooner than planned! :) What do you do? She should have really consulted me before she went and got Toxemia! Seriously the nerve! :) I know you will probably read this sissy...you know I am joking! Cuz let's face it if you weren't here right now Gracie and Mom may just put on their boxing gloves and beat(or bite) the crap out of each other. Let me fill the rest of you in that my daughter (the little girl that does not bite) bit my mom today so hard that it bruised! She probably senses my stress/chaos! :) On a better note we have been gettin letters from the little bro and he is doing GREAT! He's got a missionary comb over but we won't hold it against him! He is just as picky about clothes/style as his older sis! Sorry we can't help we have good taste(except for right now on his mission):)! My brother Jake is getting married in April so we are excited for that! I really need to get my fitness on now! :) Lots of news for us!

1. I love expensive brands! Before you judge...I love being able to wear the latest trends for cheaper prices! :) I am constantly shopping ebay to see if I can get Gracie clothes! I also am the baby gaps favorite clearance shopper! :)

2. I like to read! I used to read books in junior high in one night! I have recently gotten into the Twilight books but I have a hard time with all things in moderation! I want to indulge myself or not do it at all! :)

3. I actually like to work out! I love going to the gym and doing aerobics! I just never can find the time with working full time and being a mom full time! When one thing goes a.k.a work I will be freakin skinny! :) JK

4. I hate camping. I hate staying overnight outdoors. Even if I have a trailor I would rather make it a day trip!

5. I love all kinds of music! My ipod is extremely diverse! :) From musicals, alternative, rap, some rock! Gracie also loves all music...her favorite is applebottom jeans...my bad! :)

6. I am an extremely messy cook! Even the simplest dishes! There is food everywhere and cleanup is a nightmare!

7. I love my family reunions! We love getting together with the Carlson cousins for volleyball tournaments....it gets pretty intense!

8. I actually kind of like school. Now keep in mind that I haven't gone to school for 2 years, but someday...I will be the old chick with roller backpack :)... I would like to finish my nursing degree.

It's My Happy Anniversary

It's official! We have been married for 4 years! Craziness! It doesn't seem like that long, but yet I honestly can't remember what it was like without Spence and Gracie! :) We always say we are not going to do anything big...but the more I think about it anniversaries should be big! With so many people getting divorces these days it is almost a miracle to stay married! :) It's not that I think that a divorce is never warranted! I am always looking for reasons to celebrate though! :) I do think that I did find a pretty good match for myself though! :) We are complete opposites that fit together somehow! I love how Spence is always up for anything! Don't be jealous girls but very rarely do I get told no to anything! Lucky for us I do have a slight bit of self control! He works so hard in school and work! I complain when I have to put in 40 hour weeks and in school he's putting in double that for sure! Well we are going to SLC for a little vacation and leavin the baby! I will try to post pics from our little getaway...but I don't like to haul around a camera...so well see! Yah for Happy Anniversaries! May the next years only be better! And they better be cuz we will be that much closer to school being done! :)

Time to Update!

I have been such a slacker on the updating my blog but I've been distracted.... I was tired of being left out of the Twilight Book Circle! :) I have joined! I am totally addicted! I read the first and second book this weekend! Meliss I know you don't believe me but I prepared to take a pop quiz on the first two books...go ahead ask me anything! :) I absolutley love them! It's all I can do to not call in sick to work and finish the third! :) Freakin Work! :) Besides that we went shopping in SLC for my sister's baby to be! It was way fun! Usually on trips I make sure that Gracie is wearing a pull up! Just in case! But she had soaked her pull up in the water so we bought her some new underwear at the gap. She did great for like 4 hours then we were in the Kids Pottery Barn and I look over and there is a pool of water underneath my daughter! I was mortified! Of all the stores she could pick to pee her pants! Potty Training will be the death of me! I was furious! Even 1 hour later when we were eating she kept trying to smile at me and I would give her the death glare! What do you do?
We also have recently had EVERYONE make comments on how it was time for another! Not quite folks! :) But last night at the softball game Gracie was playin with a little boy and they were chasing each other and she kept calling him something. I said what is she calling him? She was calling him her brother! Where she got that Im not sure and when I find the responsible party that taught her that you are in trouble! :) Time goes to fast! As if it wasn't enough that the rest of the world was making me feel guilty about my lack of readiness for a second...my little 2 year old also had to throw a low blow in there! Good thing I get over them quick huh?

The long weekend!

We were party animals this weekend! :) We had a barbecue at the parents on Friday and played volleyball all day! PS I am old my knees were killing me but my team did take home the championship! I get a little to into the game...as a former Carlson I am sure you are all aware of the fact that losing IS A BIG DEAL! We don't like to lose at all! Even if it is Monopoly! :) Spence has had to go to volleyball training camps to avoid marital contention after Carlson tournaments! :) HA! HA! But seriously folks... I have worked with him and lets just say hes not the last one picked anymore! :) Then Saturday I had the laundry from heck to accomplish and came pretty dang close! I was able to find a sub for church and we headed to Island Park! We are the "pretty boys" in my family! What can I say I don't like bugs and I like to be clean! Don't hate people! :) This was me and Spencer's first camping trip together in approximately 3.8 years of marriage!! My aunt kept saying so this isn't too bad is it Jess? We really like you guys to come! Whatev I will see if I can pencil them in! :) We floated the river Monday which Gracie LOVED! I was covered in 80 degree weather with pants and a hoodie...I don't like mosquito bites! We then decided to go to West Yellowstone for some shoppin...not my style! My sister and my mom kept pickin out the uggliest granola girl hiking sandals ever! :) But they are good for floatin the river in! It was so fun to just get away! PS for all of you that are so concerned about my house.....my carpet is being layed as we speak!

Fourth of July Weekend

So let me fill ya in on the day from Hell yesterday! :) My carpet is not going to be laid for another week! Yes week! So I am stayin with the parents which I was not happy with! Don't get me wrong...love the parents! But its the packing etc. i don't like then I was cooking dinner and put the glass pan on the stove and it flippin blew up! Glass everywhere! Cut my hand...cut my leg and what hurt the most was the tiny glass particles! It felt like tons of tiny knives! I broke down...completely lost it on the carpet guy....well not completely i have a right to be mad! :) All had officially gone to pot until work today! We had a long lunch and then they informed us that we would get a 4 day weekend instead of a 3 day weekend with pay! I needed this! Things are lookin up....for now! Now if I could just get my life/house back in order! Oh Well things are never perfect...but seriously I was like a kid on a snow day! I was raisin the roof going ooh ooh! The co-workers were laughin! Im like guys i don't think you get it no work! Like we don't have to come here! Ha! Ha! I guess I am the only one that is a slacker!

Home Construction....

I decided to do another quick post...mostly due to the fact that the last one was so negative! :) I try not to be negative but I do have my days! :) Negativity in general totally wears on me as a person so when at all possible I try to stay upbeat! :) We are getting new carpet! Yes I am way excited! :) Which the carpet led to wood floor in our dining area, which led to tiling the entry way...which led to me wanting my brick mantel gone( I have actually wanted this done since we moved in), which led to painting the trim, which led to the bathroom floor being tore up and tiled. Needless to say my house is a mess! :) I am a very inpatient person! I would just like it all done right now! But these things take time...lots of time! :) Oh well the finished product will be worth it! Spencer is way patient! He just works and has the attitude that you can't rush perfection! Ha! Ha! I on the other hand am like we can rush it and yes it still will be perfect! Poor little Gracie has been seriously lacking for attention the past few days! The long weekend is coming and I will have to do somethin fun with her!

Summer Days!

It has been such nice weather! Can I just tell you that makes it even tougher to be at work! I am sitting here...looking out my window wanting to throw in the towel! :) Quit on the spot! Dang I hate being "responsible"! Do you remember when you were younger and you could do that? Dang I miss that! :) Gracie and Spence brought me pizza today and we had a picnic outside my work! Gracie saw me walking out side and full on ran and said mommy I brought you peez!:) Despite the tantrums...and the potty training going less than perfect...sorry again about your carpet Meliss! :)This is why i didn't have a pet! :) I feel like I am potty training a dog! Back on track...the little kids think you are just the best thing ever! She is my biggest fan!:) Even when I totally flip out sometimes when she is still having accidents and probably way over react...she forgets it instantly! I also got a letter from my little brother yesterday! This one full of more than the church is true! :) It was good to hear him joking around...I do miss that! Not his attitude but when he wasn't being a total jerk....we could joke around forever!:)

A Tribute to Las Vegas!

The Las Vegas trip was a blast! We were able to stay up late and wake up late! My favorite past time! :) We layed out by the pool and got a sweet tan...except Keri but she was a trooper with her 45 sunblock! :) and still burnt cuz she forgot to lather her legs! Oh my red headed friend! :) We went to Stoney Rockin Bar to country line dance! Funnest part of the trip! :) It cost us $1! :) Where me and Melissa rode the bull! I pretty much rocked it just like the guy on 8 Seconds...not really!:) We tried to work the line dancing like the 80 year ladies but couldn't catch up...which i totally blame on Melissa for wanting to be late! :) Then we hit up the mall where me and Ange gave into the Razzle Dazzle salesman!:) I think it was his accent! We also went to the Knights show at Excalibur...not bad...I would have preferred Thunder from Down Under! :) Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville was divine with my mile high nachos! We all wished we would have taken live video of the trip to prove to our husbands that we are still hot and that guys still hit on us and they are lucky to have us! :) Ha! Ha! Then we had to throw out comments like we have a total of 6 kids between the 4 of us! Ange also had to throw out pics of her kids to the drunks at Excalibur that could have cared less as she showed them! :) This will have to be a definite tradition that happens every year when one of us isn't pregnant! :)

Viva Las Vegas

Hi everybody! I will be taking off in approximatley 2 hours to Las Vegas! I am super excited! A girls trip! I used to dread those and since I haven't had one for maybe 5 years I am stoked! :) My friends (Melissa, Keri, and Angela) will leaving behind all of the child(s) and husbands and relaxing until Saturday! Hopefully we don't get lost! :) I don't have the best sense of direction! Ha!Ha! We will be staying in a condo courtesy of my awesome cousin and livin it up! Hope everyone else has a fabulous week cuz I know that I will! I will post pics later!

Spence's Fathers Day Gift

So my brother Jake has a habit of buying expensive things and then needing money and selling them for cheap! For instance his gun...he paid 700.00 and then pawned it for 300.00. We are on the benefit end of the latest purchase...the itouch! Spence has been wanting and itouch forever! They are like $400! :)So naturally I get to play mom and say Heck No! Last night my brother needed gas money to go see his girlfriend in salt lake and said I will sell it to you for $100. I naturally being a deal maker said how bout $50....he said no! We agreed on $75 and then I went to the ATM and through in an extra $5 cuz he didn't have change! :) So now Spence can get off my back about how the itouch is good for Pharmacy school! There are apparently alot of expensive tools for Pharmacy school that are apparently a MUST! :) Then as always I gave the present early cuz I couldn't wait! :) He was ecstatic and my mom thought it was cheezy to give a used gift! Whatev Mom! Stuff is expensive and if you have expensive taste and low funds like me and spence you are happy with used stuff! :)

2 Posts in one day! I am quite the blogger! :) My little sister went for her ultrasound today and it's official they are havin a little boy! :) We are so excited! The second grandchild! We will have one boy and one girl! Plus little Gracie won't have to compete for the girly attention just yet!:) Ha!Ha! It does way out number my sister on the in-laws side though! 6 boys 2 girls! Ouch!

Things have kinda died down at our place now that Uncle Alice( I say Alice cuz that is what Gracie calls him and it has kinda stuck with him) She likes to place in Alice's room with his XBOX...if it doesn't work when he gets home...we didn't touch it! :) My sister finds out what she is having today....so pumped! I am getting ready to go on a trip with the Super Six minus Alicia and Ashley...Losers JK! We are headed to Vegas without the kids and I am stoked! 3 days to do whatever I want....BLISS! :) The countdown begins! We are 1 week out! When we started planning this in Feb. it seemed so far away and it is already here! It almost felt silly planning that far out but with everyone's schedule it needed to be! :) Keri, Melissa, and Ange I hope your ready! :)

Sending the Little Brother Off

We took Alex to the MTC yesterday! I still don't like the place! As if it isn't sad that you are sending your loved ones off for 2 years....they gotta play all of these family short clips and get you sad for the occasion! I think its done to torture poor mothers! I hope I have no boys....JK! I am pretty sure that he was sadder to leave his girlfriend though! Ha!Ha! He just hugged and left! I didn't even know he was really leaving until he wasn't there! Then I had to do some shopping therapy! PS I think I should own stock in Baby Gap cuz I am pretty sure that me and Pam can keep them afloat with our purchases alone! Ha! Ha! We were shopping for my little sister some maternity clothes! It was a total blast! How about they make Lucky Jeans for maternity!:) They are so cute! I will be investing in some of these for sure for my next baby for sure! I definitley feel like the stay puff marshmellow man while I am pregnant and there is nothing like comfortable cute clothes to make me feel better! I know that I am opening myself up to snide comments from Melissa and Angela with that statement right there! Ha!Ha! Go ahead and string me up guys! :)

Extended Weekends!

Extended weekends are my favorite...except when I have to go back to work on Tuesday! It will be nice this time though because I am taking off on Wednesday to take my little bro to the MTC with the fam! 3 day week! We had tons of fun over the Memorial Day...We went swimming at Downata it was bad weather but warm water so it worked out! :)We got Gracie water wings and she was ecstatic! She thought she was so cool going down the slide by herself! Then most of Spence's family was in town so Gracie got to play with her cousins. She had a blast!

Little Bro's Farewell

Yesterday was my little brother's farewell! I love it when we get together with my whole family! It is a blast! I am pretty sure I didn't stop laughing the entire night! Gracie is also starting to get to the point where she plays with other kids well! Bless this day! It can be any kid and I didn't have to police her the entire day! I always knew it was pretty normal for her to be whiny because a. she's a girl, b. she is an only child...and will be for still quite some time! :) But still there were others that didn't understand this...:) People kept asking me are you sad for Alex to leave? Isn't he just the best brother ever? I'm like maybe you don't know Alex...Alex Carlson...JK But I do love when the boys leave on their missions! Even when my brother Jake went for a few months they come just so nice! So respectful! This is why I am not sad for Alex to go because he will come home and not yell at my mom for running his truck out of gas(gas that she paid for) and continue to yell at her to fill up his car(which he doesn't own) Ya gotta love the baby of the family!

These are wax melting pot and are re-usable! I love them! They have so many scents! Best of all they are CHEAP! After you buy your pot which runs electrically so you don't have to buy tea lights, they are only $5! It only cost me $100 to sign up too and they give you all of your product! Finals Are Over!

I am so unbelievably pumped that finals are over! Spence has officially passed his first year of Pharmacy school! Yeah! We still have a ways to go but there is light! :) We also have another big event that happened yesterday! We got satellite! I officially have more than 3 fuzzy channels! I am so lame! My sister is having a baby! That is kind of fun news! I can play with her baby and then send it home! :) My brother Alex leaves on his mission at the end of this month to Frankfurt Germany! A little crazy! I wanted him to go somewhere really poor where he would have to shower with a bucket and crap like that just cuz he is such a pretty boy but oh well! :) We are going with him to the temple today! It will be great! Now that finals are over I am seriously whipping my big butt into shape! No exscuses about not having a baby sitter! Spence is it! I just thought I would share our good news!

A little something about the Adams' Family

First of all I hate saying Adams' Family for all those Adams Family jokes! Yes I can hear you making them now! :) We are STILL in school! When I say we I mean Spence...but I still need to talk to ISU about inserting my name on the diploma cuz I think I deserve it! Here's a quick recap. We were married in August 20, 2004 in the Bountiful Temple and shortly after in February got pregnant with our little girl Gracie. Long dating/engagment...instant Family! We were extremely terrified at first, but I couldn't picture us without her now. Spence was accepted to the Pharmacy program last year and has 3 years left now... He stays pretty busy so it's pretty much me and Gracie for the most part! Maybe a blessing in disguise that we had her cuz I needed a buddy! :) She is Spence's twin when you look at her but she has inherited most of my personality! Yep she is a big shopper! What have I created!? Well that catches us up for now!
